Tell us a little about yourself and what you do…
I’m the Designer and Creative Director of J. Andreatta, an Australian Couture House specialising in Bridal and Red Carpet.

J. Andreatta launched in 2018 with our atelier on William Street in Paddington, and stemming from my passion for couture and designing for brides who are looking for something beyond the traditional bridal silhouette, while still being chic and timeless.
What’s the most fulfilling part of what you do?

Working so closely with my clients from the start, and then seeing their reaction at the final fitting. I’m so grateful to be doing what I do. To me, it’s the dream job.

I’m also really driven by the entire bespoke design process, from sourcing and designing my own fabrics and experimenting with different textures and silhouettes and creating art through lace placement – there really is no limitation in what we do.

What’s your go to fragrance to have at home / in your studio?

Coconut & Elderflower – fresh and feminine. It’s my go-to right now in the studio.
What do you do at home or in the studio to inspire / or elevate your space?

I prefer my space to be full of natural light (so that I can see the fabrics) and clear of clutter.

Music is such a big part of my day - it’s always playing. The playlist will reflect my mood and whatever it is that I’m doing - designing, fittings or shooting campaigns. My heritage is Italian so a strong coffee is my essential to start every day.

Do you find fragrance inspires you?

Fragrances are nostalgic. A certain fragrance has the ability to take you back in time to a specific moment in your life that you may cherish, or remind you of certain people. They inspire my mood and vibe when designing.
