- Hi Patricia, Thank you so much for your question, When developing ECOYA fragrances, we take a holistic approach to developing sustainable products with the very best technology we have available to us at this time. Our development criteria is centered around Phthalate Free and Vegan directions which conform to the IFRA guidelines (International Fragrance Association), whilst offering a high level of biodegradability in fragrances across the range. When the process of producing natural materials becomes too resource-intensive, we replace these with man-made alternatives. This approach was taken to tread as lightly as possible when creating these products. Due to this, we often use a blend of both essential and synthetic fragrance.
